Adesile Obasa was called to the Nigeria bar in October, 2015. His practice areas include Commercial Law, Litigation, Intellectual Property and Mediation amongst others. Bagging an LL.B. degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Adesile’s experience in Legal Practice began in the Chambers of the Attorney General of Oyo State where he served as a state counsel, after which he joined the firm of Ogunkeye and Ogunkeye in October 2017. Currently, Adesile is a partner at Pelican Crest Legal Practitioners, Ibadan, Nigeria.
Adesile is a firm believer in a technology-driven legal practice, and uses his role as a member of the Continuing Education Committee of the NBA, Ibadan, to drive the necessity for today’s lawyers to have the skills and attitudes required to meet not only the demands of today’s clients, but also the demands of tomorrow’s legal space. He was a prize winner at the Justice Pius Aderemi Essay Competition where his essay on the ‘Role of Artificial intelligence in creating a sustainable Law Practice in Nigeria, drew much commendation.
Amongst other leadership roles, Adesile is the current chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan Branch. He also serves on the Human Rights Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan.
