Executive Director of Daria Media
Kadaria Ahmed is a journalist and media entrepreneur. She is the Executive Director of Daria Media, a
company bridging the gap in Nigeria‟s journalism space by providing public service journalism.
She is also the Managing Director of Radio Now 95.3 FM, a radio station broadcasting out of Lagos to
the world, with the mission to provide factual, unbiased and Nigerian-focused news, information and
entertainment that empowers citizens to hold public and private sectors accountable, build social
consciousness and promote nation building.
Kadaria is passionate about public service journalism. As a result, she has created and anchored
programs through which she has set the agenda for national conversations on significant issues and
even influenced policy. These include;
She is also the co-producer and presenter of the feature documentary on Nigeria‟s response to the
COVID-19 pandemic titled ‟Unmasked‟.
Kadaria sits on the Board of Trustees of Mutual Assurance Benefits Plc. She is also a member of the
Nigerian Guild of Editors and the Nigerian Institute of Directors. She is the recipient of grants in support
of her work in accountability journalism from leading donor agencies including the Ford Foundation,
PLAC and MacArthur Foundation.
She started her career at the BBC. Kadaria has an M.A in Television from Goldsmiths, University of
London, and a Bachelor’s from Bayero University Kano. She is a Chevening Scholar.
